The building of the faculties of Sciences and Medicine was designed to extend the campus of USEK University, and give it a new look. It is formed by two aisles joined by a skylighted naturally ventilated hall that runs through the building. The hall was intended as a link between the campus and backward terrains giving them a potential for further exploitation.

The whole building is based on one single module of 1.8 m that can be subdivided by the rule of 3 and multiplied to constitute the ergonomics of all the functions of the building. This modular key of harmony commands the architectural language in unity on its metric rigor on one side, and the fluid aesthetics of organic forms on the other side.

The building is on the edge of high-tech, comprising 4000 sqm of various laboratories and multiple pedagogic functions. It was conceived as a sustainable construction, with low energy consumption. The faculty was published by “Architecture d’Aujourdhui” in 2006 as an iconic university building.
